Terms of Service

These terms are an agreement between you and Livp ("we", "us"). By using the website or its services, you agree to them. If you do not agree, please do not use Livp.

You must be at least 16 years old to use Livp. If you use it for a business, you confirm you are allowed to accept these terms on that business's behalf.

What Livp does

Livp converts between Apple Live Photos and other formats: video to Live Photo, Live Photo to video, still image or GIF, and GIF to Live Photo.

All current conversion tools run entirely in your browser. Your files are processed on your own device and are never sent to us. Local conversions are free and unlimited in number.

The free tier limits the resolution of outputs we encode ourselves, such as JPG, GIF and the video created from a GIF. An optional membership raises that output limit, removes ads and enables batch conversion. These features still run locally. Video to Live Photo copies the source movie without re-encoding it, so this output limit does not apply to that movie.

Accounts

You do not need an account for free conversions. A membership requires an account. You are responsible for keeping your password and API keys secret and for activity under your account. Tell us promptly at support@livp.app if you believe your account has been compromised.

You can delete your account at any time. We may suspend or close an account if these terms are broken, if the law requires it, or if the account is used for fraud or abuse. Any applicable membership refund follows the policy below.

Membership and payments

Free browser conversions do not use credits or a daily allowance. You may use the current conversion tools without an account and without a conversion-count limit.

Membership unlocks the features shown on the pricing page for the paid period. It does not change where your files are processed: conversions still run in your browser and your media is not uploaded to us.

Prices are shown at checkout and may change for future purchases. Subscriptions renew automatically until cancelled; you can cancel at any time and keep access until the end of the paid period.

Refunds

If you are unhappy with a membership purchase, email us at support@livp.app within 14 days and we will refund that purchase to your original payment method. This does not affect any statutory right you may have.

Acceptable use

You may not use Livp to:

• process content you do not have the right to use, or that infringes someone else's rights;
• create or distribute material that is unlawful, sexually explicit involving minors, harassing, or designed to deceive;
• attempt to break, overload, scrape or reverse-engineer the service, or bypass usage limits;
• resell the service or its output as your own product without our written agreement.

You are responsible for what you convert and for how you use the result.

Your content

Your files remain yours. We claim no ownership over anything you convert. The browser tools process files on your device, so we never receive your conversion files in the first place.

Independence from Apple

Livp is an independent service. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Apple Inc. "Live Photo", "iPhone", "iPad" and "iOS" are trademarks of Apple Inc., used here only to describe what the output is compatible with. Android and Motion Photo are trademarks of Google LLC, used in the same way.

Limits of the service

Some things a Live Photo can do depend on Apple's software and hardware, not on us:

• A Live Photo built from your own video plays normally in Photos, but some iOS versions may show "Motion not available" when it is set as a lock-screen wallpaper.
• A web page cannot write to your photo library. The final import step is always performed by you.
• Whether a third-party platform accepts a file — WeChat, Instagram, TikTok and others apply their own rules — is outside our control.

We describe these limits on the relevant pages. You should read them before relying on a particular result.

Availability

We work to keep Livp running, but the service is provided "as is" and "as available". We do not promise it will always be available, free of errors, or that it will produce a particular result for a particular file. Browser tools depend on your own device and browser; we cannot guarantee they work in every browser or on every file.

Liability

To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, such as lost profits, lost data or emotional distress, arising from your use of Livp. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim, or 50 USD if you have paid us nothing. Nothing here excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. We will change the date at the top of this page, and for important changes we will tell signed-in users before the change takes effect. If you keep using Livp after that, the new terms apply.
