Privacy Policy

The short version

• The browser tools never upload anything. Converting a video, a Live Photo or a GIF happens inside your browser tab, on your device. We have no copy of those files and no way to get one.
• We collect the minimum needed to run an account and take payment: your email address, your orders, and basic technical logs.
• We never sell your data and we never use it to train AI models.
• You can delete your account at any time.

Who we are

Livp ("we", "us") is an online service for converting between Apple Live Photos and other formats. We are the data controller for the personal data described here. You can reach us through the support button on any page of the site, or by opening a ticket from your dashboard.

The browser tools

The conversion tools — video to Live Photo, Live Photo to video, Live Photo to still, Live Photo to GIF, and GIF to Live Photo — all run entirely in your browser using JavaScript. Your files are read from your device into the page's memory, converted there, and handed back to you as a download.

Nothing is transmitted to us. There is no server in that path and no upload step. If you disconnect from the network after a page has loaded, the conversions still work. That is the simplest proof of what we are saying here.

Because of this, we cannot see, recover, or delete files you converted — we never had them.

What we do collect

Account data. If you sign up: your email address, a hashed password, and the display name and avatar you choose. If you sign in with Google or GitHub, we receive the basic profile those services share with us.

Orders and payments. Which plan or credit pack you bought and when. Card details go directly to our payment processors; we never see them.

Credit and usage records. Your credit balance and the cloud-tool jobs you have run, so the balance can be audited and refunded correctly.

Technical data. Server logs (IP address, user agent, timestamps) kept for security and abuse prevention, and a cookie with a random ID used to keep you signed in and to count free usage for visitors.

Support messages. Whatever you send us when you contact support, and any files you choose to attach.

What we do not collect

• The media you convert in the browser tools. We never receive it.
• Your photo library, your contacts, or anything else on your device.
• Any biometric or special-category data.

Who we share it with

Only the services needed to run Livp, and only as much as each one needs:

• Payment processors (Stripe, PayPal or Creem, depending on your region) handle checkout and refunds. They receive your payment details and order total, not your account password.
• Email delivery (Resend) sends verification, receipt and password-reset messages. It receives your email address and the message content.
• Cloud infrastructure hosts the website and the database.
• Cloud storage is used for avatars and for cloud-tool jobs, if you use those features.

We do not sell personal data, and we do not share it for advertising.

How long we keep it

• Account data: until you delete your account, then removed within 30 days, except records we must keep for tax and accounting.
• Order and payment records: as long as tax law requires.
• Server logs: a short period, then deleted.
• Support messages: until the issue is resolved and for a reasonable period afterwards.
• Cloud-tool files, if you use those tools: as described when you use them; browser conversions are never stored because they are never received.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, export or delete your personal data, to object to some processing, and to complain to a supervisory authority. To exercise any of these, contact us through the support button on the site or from the email address on your account. We reply within 30 days.

Cookies

We use essential cookies only: to keep you signed in, to remember your language, and to rate-limit free usage. The site does not work correctly without them. We do not use advertising cookies.

Security

Passwords are stored hashed. Traffic is encrypted in transit. Access to production data is limited to what is needed to operate the service. No system is perfect, so we cannot promise absolute security — but because the browser tools never receive your files, the most sensitive thing you handle here is already out of scope.

Children

Livp is not intended for children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect their personal data. If you believe a child has given us personal data, contact us and we will delete it.

Changes

If we change this policy we will update the date at the top of this page, and for significant changes we will tell signed-in users before they take effect.
